What's in a peel?
Lactic acid was discovered by Cleopatra. It is a superficial peel at lower percentages, comes from milk or tomatoes and is very moisturizing and is wonderful for scarring and sun damage. This is a great starting point and will leave you fresh faced with very little downtime or peeling. (you can experience some peeling and flaking you just need to up your moisturizer durning this phase)
Glycolic is derived from sugar cane and is great for hyperpigmentation and fine lines, and texture. Glycolic is a bit hotter of an acid but is still more of a superficial peel.
Derived From Vinegar (synthetic) TCA is my absolute favorite for sun spots, tightening skin, shrinking pore size, skin tone, and uneven texture. The higher the percentage the deeper it goes, the more effective the peel (within reason)
Our TCA peels start at 15% and go up to 60% depending on the clients goals, needs, and experience.
Derived From willow bark, SAL X is a more stripping peel and is great for skin tone, acne, fine lines, and even spots. SAL X is often in mixed peels (and we LOVE that!)
A synthetic ingredient that is antiseptic great for acne, eczema, psoriasis, and other similar skin conditions.
A powerful astringent that aids in DEEP cleansing and penetration for a better result. Phenol stays active for a longer period of time so it gets into the lower levels of the skin for te most amazing of results.
